Supported Employment

Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Supported Employment services are for those participants who have already gone to the Division of Vocational and Rehabiliation Services (DVRS) and received a F3 or F6 code. This information is provided to Legacy by DVRS or the participant’s Support Coordinator. 

 

Once an F3 or an F6 is received, Legacy can provide pre placement or pre employment services that assist the participant with obtaining integrated employment. 

 

Job coaches will work with participants to build a resume, assess job specifications, assist with job seeking, support outreach to community businesses, assist with job development tools that address workplace concerns and identify on the job modifications. 

 

Once a participant has obtained paid employment Legacy can then provide on the job and off site job coaching. Hours will vary case by case, need and is also dependent on the individual’s budget. Legacy will continue to provide approved hours until it is determined the participant has reached a level of independence where the service hours can be reduced.

Additionally, Legacy also provides long term follow along once pre placement or pre employment has already been completed by either DVRS, another provider or the participant has already obtained a paid position and is in need of job coaching from a qualified DDD provider.
