Why Choose Legacy?

Legacy Empowerment Services is devoted to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. One of the ways we will do this is through engaging students into their community through the activities mentioned above. Our community inclusion services provide individuals with the opportunity to engage in social interactions with others. This will increase student’s social engagement by leading too friendships and learning appropriate social skills in public spaces. These skills can be generalized to other settings within the community such as board rooms, neighborhood activities, community events and help in job searches.
At Legacy, we ensure that our students participate in community settings that are valuable to them. Choice is an essential component to all people; our students have a choice in when, where, what, and how they engage in their community. This increases the student’s excitement about civic engagement, their efforts, and the amount that the students learn from the activities provided.

Our community inclusion services aim to provide a safe way for individuals with disabilities to gain new skills and build new relationships while actively participating in their communities.
